The 2015 fly fishing film tour kicked off last weekend and our crew was on hand for the festivities. The venue was unreal. Check the image above (thanks F3T for the image) to get a sense of the layout. Extremely high vaulted ceilings, central viewing area and a hugh screen – surrounded by “terraced” viewing balconies. One of the coolest venues I’ve ever seen. Cheers to Trouts in Denver for sponsoring the show.
The sold out show was packed with a great group of anglers from all over the world – as well as the ever-awesome local Colorado fishing crew. Wonderful catching up with many of our film’s characters (like Frank Smethurst from our CARPLAND FILM, and tour owner and organizer Chris Keig.Photo left.)
The films were really divers, well done and the show was the most impressive I’ve seen in many years. There’s a nice balance of saltwater and fresh, and some really strong stories. Our films, CARPLAND and Mongolia – played well. The crowds seemed to enjoy them and it was great to view them on the big screen. Make sure to put the 2015 fly fishing film tour on your calendar. Here’s a few more shots from the venue. Hope to see you out on the tour!
